An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to support YHA this summer as a Summer Camp Manager and help lead on the delivery of our fun-filled, action-packed Summer Camps at the following locations:

Salary: GBP 400 Per Week + Paid induction training
Accommodation and Meals provided
Full time hours: Evening work required

YHA Coalbrookdale: 20th July - 19th August
YHA Edale: 10th August - 2nd of September
YHA South Downs & National Forest: 3rd of August - 26th of August
YHA St Briavels Castle: 20th July - 5th of August

As a Camp Manager, you'll work alongside the Hostel Manager and it will be down to you to make sure all participants have a positive and enjoyable experience as well as ensuring that safeguarding and standards of delivery are in accordance with YHA policies and procedures.

Please note: The successful applicant will be required to attend Induction and training on 23rd - 25th June at YHA Manchester and 14th - 16th July at YHA Edale
Attendance on both dates is compulsory.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with activity providers, partner organisations (RAF, NDCS) and internal teams to ensure camps run smoothly
Lead on managing and coordinating volunteer resource to ensure all camp duties are covered
Act in accordance with YHA safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all camp participants
Liaise and communicate with parents/guardians when necessary in line with YHA policies and procedures
Ensuring night patrols are in place to manage the safety and security of participants
Driving and transporting participants and volunteers to various locations
Person specification:

Previous experience delivering summer camps or activity based programs with pastoral care and overnight responsibilities
Confident in the delivery of a wide range of activities that will appeal to young people of varying ages
Previous experience working with young people and supporting them to engage in activities
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coordinate and motivate teams to achieve common goals
Confident communicator with a personable and professional manner and the ability to interact and relate to all levels
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to communicate plans effectively
Must hold a full clean UK driving license
