Experienced Part-time and Full-time Chef/Cook and also Part-time and Full-time Baker required for busy kitchen within established and reputable independent Garden Centre on the outskirts of Dyce.

Ability to take control and manage kitchen in catering managers absense.

Permanent position, 45 hours a week, 5 days from 7 including rotating weekend off (shift 8am-5pm).

We are open from Monday to Sunday 9am till 4.30 pm
This is a full time permanent position with a competitive hourly rate, food on duty and share of tips.

*Own transport essential* due to location.

Trustworthy and hard working individual required to work as part of an established kitchen team.

At least 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen environment is a must
A keen eye for detail is essential, whether this is with regards to food quality, kitchen standards, cost and stock control
We are looking for someone who is presentable and takes pride in their work
Should have strong attention to detail, seasonal cooking experience and Health and Safety knowledge
Understanding of basic bakery and cakes would be an advantage
Knowledge of Food hygiene at elementary or intermediate levels is welcomed.

You must be able to cope easily in busy environments and possess a friendly, can do attitude enabling to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
You must have a creative attitude towards presentation of dishes and an eye for detail
All orders are handwritten therefore you must have a very good level of spoken and written English.

Overseeing the day to day running of the kitchen
Providing/preparing food from various menus
Assisting with the training and development of junior staff members
Adhering, maintaining & improving all statutory food hygiene & health & safety regulations

Weekly & Monthly menu ideas
Covering Head chef on days off and annual leave
Menu ideas & costing working to suggested GP

Requirements of the Full-Time Chef/Cook

Previous experience working as a chef in a busy kitchen
Some experience running a kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Experience with cost control, ordering and maintaining and improving cleanliness standards and working with the Head Chef to maintain and improve Gross Profits

28 days holiday
Uniform provided after successful completion of probation
Meal provided on shift
