An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Coordinator to join the Sales & Marketing Team of Park Cameras based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Park Cameras is a leading retailer in the specialist photographic market, with an award-winning store / head office based in Burgess Hill, as well as a state-of-the art London store opened in 2013
We are a growing and exciting family-run business established for over 40 years, and we aspire to become the first-choice speciality photographic retailer across the UK.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, and working as part of a small team of 6-8, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the company's external events programme
This includes planning, promoting and delivering in-store promotional events across both stores (around 2 per month) as well as coordinating the delivery of the company's in-house paid photography training division ('School of Photography').

As an Events Coordinator, your duties and responsibilities will be:

In-Store Events

* Develop and evolve an annual programme of in-store events to drive new and existing customer football
* Plan and deliver 1 event per month across both Burgess Hill and London stores (24 per year)
* Develop appropriate marketing strategies to deliver customers
* Work with the buying team to develop and promote appealing in-store promotional offers
* Work with the online/offline marketing team to ensure cross-channel promotion
* Deliver monthly reporting on footfall, sales conversion and other relevant KPIs

School of Photography

* Oversee the annual programme of courses in both Burgess Hill and London stores
* Schedule courses on a rolling quarterly basis
* Liaise with the bank of tutors to ensure bookings are made for each scheduled course
* Promoting newly-announced courses with appropriate marketing activity
* Ensure relevant instore POS (posters, quarterly programmes) and produced and circulated
* Manage course booking levels to meet minimum booking levels, ensuring additional promotion is undertaken where needed, and cancelling/rearranging courses when appropriate
* Overseeing the customer experience
* Assisting with course bookings and catering bookings
* Producing monthly reporting with course utilisation and attendance data

An ideal Events Coordinator will have the following skills and qualifications:

* You will be enthusiastic and energetic with a positive outlook, with loads of ideas and a flair for making things happen, as well as highly organised and very attentive to detail.
* You will be able to build rapport with colleagues, be able to enthuse others and have experience of coordinating successful events.
* You will want to get stuck in, find new opportunities to drive customers in-store and continually improve the customer experience.

An interest in photography, and a natural enthusiasm for acquiring technical knowledge of new cameras, lenses and accessories, would be extremely beneficial.

In return for this you will receive a salary of GBP18,000 - GBP20,000 per Annum.
