The Abbey Hotel is a 62-bedroom property with a restaurant and bar, located in the heart of the city of Bath
Part of a 3-hotel group under the Kaleidoscope Collection including No.15 Great Pulteney Street and Villa at Henrietta Park.
Having recently undergone extensive refurbishment and with plans to expand, we are looking to add to our Front of House team.
We require a full-time Duty Manager
45 hours a week on a flexible rota system, however you must be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
The Job

As Duty Manager your responsibilities/skills should include:
• Ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly by proactively supervising the day to day running of the of the front desk when on shift, helping out in departments as required and identifying and resolving problems in liaison with, or in the absence of, the Head of the Department
• Ensuring guest needs are attended to at all times, delivering the highest level of customer service, dealing professionally and appropriately with guest requests, enquires, comments and complaints
• Ensuring that performance standards are consistently upheld and that staff are carrying out their duties as allocated
• Ensuring the property is maintained a high standard and the comfort, safety and security of our guests at all times
• Carrying out ad hoc project work to help the senior management team as required
In order to be considered for this Duty Manager role you should have the following:
• At least 1 year experience of working within all operational areas
• Ideally come from 4/5-star background
• You must be a customer focused individual who strives on providing excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills, spoken and written
• You are able to work in a professional manner, independently and within a team
